KARAOKE

A Japanese word.  Kara comes from "karaoppo" meaning empty, and "oke" is the abbreviation for "okesutura" or orchestra.   Usually a pop song consist of music and vocals, so when music tapes were made without vocals they were named karaoke.  Twenty some years ago, the Japanese began to play Karaoke tapes in the bars, and the patrons of the bars would sing to the music, and soon the whole world was singing.  Now its very common to see Karaoke performed in many establishments in the US.  People have Karaoke systems in their homes, and no its not uncommon to see it at a Wedding Reception or Birthday Party!

KJDJ

KJ "Karoke Jockey"  A person who plays Karaoke Disc.  DJ "Disc Jockey A person who plays the original recorded music. KJDJ A person who can do it ALL.  The advantage of having a kjdj at your party is in the mix.  Most KJ's only have the equipment and ability to keep you singing, but to dance to the original song by the original artist is out of the question.  A DJ on the other hand offers you original artist and nonstop music to dance to ... BUT will they let you sing to the next song?  A KJDJ will!  We'll keep you dancing and singing.  We bring all the equipment necessary to mix, dance, and sing to the music!
